Learn and/or review basic rigging terminology and concepts here by clicking on the tabs above. Learn/review vocabulary, how to assemble steel, and a couple key knots. If this goes well, advance to rigging 102 and learn about what happens on the beams under ideal test conditions. 201 covers what gear is required if you want to continue.
Attend these trainings every chance you get until you are solid on the basics. Once you demonstrate a level of proficiency, you can be recommended to work a show. With the resultant paycheck, if this line of work is one you would like to pursue and you are performing in accordance with the high standard required, you will need to purchase some personal gear.
